In 2000, Paul and his wife Nikki created the mortgage packager “Fastcom.” Here they turned a vision into a business that went from zero to a turnover of approximately £1 million, in the first 12 months of trading. Paul subsequently created the Packager Association ‘Freehold’ and the lender associated with it.
In 2012 the founders of Funding Circle requested Paul’s help in establishing their intermediary distribution strategy. Funding Circle completed an IPO in 2018 at a valuation of £1.5 billion.
In early 2015, Paul was brought in as a consultant to help shape the launch of Foundation Home Loans. Within just six weeks, he had created a full product suite, developed the brand’s go-to-market strategy, launched the website, and secured national distribution. His leadership laid the groundwork for the lender’s market entry—demonstrating his ability to deliver high-impact results at speed and scale.
In 2017, Paul joined Landbay to lead its sales and distribution strategy. His leadership played a key role in driving national growth and enhancing the lender’s market presence. During his time at Landbay, the business became one of the most highly awarded buy-to-let lenders in the UK, recognised for both service and innovation.
